Providing Details for PointClickCare CNA Account Creation

The first step is providing your details to the PointClickCare administrator at your facility:

  • Full name – Your first and last name as per official records. Avoid nicknames.
  • Contact email – Your work email address where PointClickCare emails can be received. 
  • Phone number – Direct work phone number or extension for urgent communication.  
  • Job title – Your role like Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Assistant etc.
  • Department – Department you belong to like Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing etc.

  3. Click ‘Add New User’ and select ‘Employees’.  
  4. Enter your name, email, phone, job title, department, start date and other details.
  5. Assign you the ‘PointClickCare CNA’ role. 
  6. Select appropriate access settings.
  7. Click ‘Add User’ to provision your PointClickCare user account.

This creates your user ID in PointClickCare system so you can now activate your account.

Activating Your PointClickCare CNA Account 

Once the administrator adds you as a new user, you will receive a PointClickCare registration email:

  1. Open your work email inbox and find the PointClickCare registration email. 
  2. The email will contain an account activation link. Click on it.
  3. On the activation page, create your username and password.
  4. Click ‘Activate Account’.
  5. You can now login using the chosen credentials. 

This completes the account activation process. Contact the administrator if you don’t receive the activation email.

Additional Registration Steps at First Login

When you login to PointClickCare CNA portal for the first time, you may need to take the following additional steps:

  • Complete your user profile setup 
  • Change temporary password provided by admin 
  • Go through introductory training tutorials
  • Download PointClickCare CNA mobile app  
  • Setup account on CNA mobile app using same credentials
  • Accept latest terms of use and privacy policy
  • Configure system preferences

Resetting Forgotten Passwords
